National Microchipping Month during June 2010
A campaign that encourages and promotes responsible pet ownership through microchipping as the preferred method of permanent pet identification.
There are two ways to get involved either by getting your pet microchipped or by organising a National Microchipping Month event.
The microchipping events provide a great opportunity for pet owners to develop their understanding of the process involved and the services available to them and their pets through Petlog, the UK's largest pet reunification service.
If you are looking for a microchipping event or promotion near you, keep checking the National Microchipping Month page on the Petlog website over the coming weeks as it will be continually updated with the latest events or contact your local vet to see if they are taking part.

Makes me wonder what the point of microchipping is when you read things like this.

This makes me very very cross.
The dog is hers and should be returned to her. How can the police just walk away.
I dont think it would cost that much to go to court to claim it back and hopefully if they followed it up the other person would give it bad.
Not being any form of legal I would have thought the case was open and shut but with our legal system who can be sure.
I for one would go for broke without doubt.
