Just read on Doglost that this poor girl was not Sian - what a great shame .

From the info on Doglost, Sian's owner says this found bitch is small - too small for a collie - possibly a big sheltie ?? Is there anyone in the Weston area that could go and check her out please ? she is in White House kennels, Weston. I have also posted this on the sheltie forum.

how small is small? We've met shelties that are bigger than Simba so the dog could well be a collie I guess

I'm travelling down to Devon later in the week, if nobody else can check I can see if I can swing by and have a look at her if it's not too out of the way (have to coerce my driver)

That's kind of you. I'll keep this topic posted if I hear any more news. I have one sheltie that could pass for a small collie

- so this found one could possibly be either !

A sheltie person went to the kennels after reading my post and it is a small rough collie NOT a sheltie. I hope she finds her owners soon or else she will be up for adoption.

Just heard about this and posted in Lost and Found before I realised there was this thread.

There were travellers in the area who left before the dog was found.

Dog now at Whitehouse Kennels.

I have rung various owners/breeders in the area.

Sounds like the perfect playmate for Simba Mel, on the way to Devon too, well sort of! I would strike while the iron is hot, with Mr. mel being keen on another doggy!)

Uttoxeter is about 140 miles away but it is straight down the M6 then M5, so it is worth checking further.

Anyone got more details of the bitch from Uttoxeter?

I live about 20 miles away from Uttoxeter, but have no knowledge about the dog that went missing from there. If i can help in any way please let me know.

I've e-mailed the lady in Uttoxeter but I'm sure she has already been contacted by someone.

Spent the day in the area today but no posters and no one I spoke to knew anyone looking for her.

The Uttoxeter lady has responded to me and I have sent her pictures of the collie found.

I visited the kennel today, it is a small rough collie bitch no more than 20 inches at shoulder, prick ears and good nature. She is in fairly good condition but has an ear infection in both ears.

By now the dog has been groomed and washed by Val Setchell of Burnham on Sea.

Got to feed my dogs now - I'll see what else I can do with picture later.

Apparently this is the most talked about rough collie in the country. The lady from Uttoxeter has been in contact but it is not her dog. Also someone from Durham.

She was again checked for a chip whilst I was there but none was found.
